The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) federal review of a final Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulation expected to increase filing fees for many U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) filings is complete. This is the last step prior to the publication of the proposed USCIS fee increase, which is expected in the next few days.
Updates are expected for:
- H-1B cap registration fee,
- H-1B filing fee,
- L-1 filing fee,
- Other nonimmigrant cases,
- Forms I-129 and I-140
- Premium processing timelines, and
- Adjustment of Status and additional benefit fees.
Overall, the proposed USCIS fee increase is expected to be dramatic for some filing types. The final USCIS fee increase and changes are not yet published.
